📍 Stage Finder: Where Are You Now?

Signal Your Level Go To
"Gw belum tahu maunya apa." Level 1: Explorer 3-Month Experiment Canvas
"Gw udah punya arah, tapi belum credible." Level 2: Builder 3-Month Experiment Canvas
"Gw punya experience, tapi pengen pindah arah." Level 3: Shifter Asset Audit Table
"Gw udah mentok ngerjain sendiri. Gimana caranya scale?" Level 4: Multiplier The 3 Pillars Checklist

Don't overthink it. Pick the signal that most sounds like you right now. You can always revisit a different level later.

🔬 3-Month Experiment Canvas

For: Explorer & Builder
Purpose: Turn curiosity into data. Build proof without overthinking.

Section A: Setup

My 3-Month Experiment

Curiosity / Direction: (Apa yang bikin gw penasaran? / Apa yang mau gw buktiin?)

Exploration Target / Build Goal: (Dalam 3 bulan, apa konkret yang mau gw hasilin?)

Starting Point (Reality Check):

  • Skills I already have:
  • Time I can commit per week: ___ hours
  • Money/constraints I need to respect:

Section B: The Experiment Log

Week What I Did What I Learned Proof Produced
1
2
3
4
5–8 (group if needed)
9–12

Section C: End-of-Experiment Reflection

Reflection (Month 3)

Reflection-nya nge-branch tergantung lu Explorer atau Builder. Explorer lagi test interest. Builder lagi test proof dan market resonance. Pilih lane yang sesuai posisi lu sekarang.

Untuk Explorer — Interest Check & Energy Audit

Am I more interested or less interested in this direction? - (fill here)

What part energized me? What part drained me? - (fill here)

Untuk Builder — Proof Check & Market Resonance Audit

Apa concrete artifact yang udah gw produce? (case study, project, deliverable) — apakah portfolio-grade? - (fill here)

- (fill here)

Buat keduanya — shared reflection

What proof do I now have? (Aset apa dari canonical five yang nambah?) - (fill here)

What's my next move?

  • Go deeper in this field
  • Pivot to a new curiosity
  • I need more data — run another cycle

🎓 Scalable Examples

Example A: Mahasiswa Semester 3 (Explorer)

Curiosity: "Gw penasaran sama digital marketing — terutama social media."

3-Month Target: Bikin & post 12 konten Instagram buat UKM kampus. Track engagement. Decide: lanjut atau ganti arah.

Time: 4 jam/minggu (Sabtu pagi).

Output: 12 posts published, engagement data, reflection doc.

Example B: Senior Finance Professional (Shifter → Explorer mode)

Tulis 3 product memos. Minta feedback dari 2 PM.

Time: 6 jam/minggu (malam + weekend).

🧠 Asset Audit Table

For: Shifter (universal — can be used by anyone with experience)
Purpose: Inventory everything you've built. Stop thinking you're "starting from zero."

Asset Category What I Have Why This Is Valuable in My Target Field
Domain Knowledge
Industry insight outsiders don't have
Soft Skills & Leadership
Stakeholder mgmt, communication, navigating ambiguity
Network & Reputation
People who trust me, can refer me, or can bridge me
Adjacent Technical Skills
Tools & methods that partially transfer
Pattern Recognition (Judgment)
Intuition built from years of exposure

After filling: Which 1-2 assets are your strongest differentiators? Lead with those in your narrative.

Cross-cutting advantages — derived from the core five

🎓 Scalable Examples

Example A: Anak Magang Customer Support → Target: UX Research

Asset Category What I Have Why Valuable in UX Research
Domain Knowledge Ngerasain langsung 50+ keluhan user per minggu Gw tahu real pain points, bukan cuma persona abstrak

Example B: Senior Legal Counsel → Target: Product Management

Asset Category What I Have Why Valuable in Product

🏗️ The 3 Pillars Checklist (Multiplier)

For: Multiplier (managers, team leads, founders, senior ICs who mentor)
Purpose: Stop being the bottleneck. Build systems that work without you.

Pillar 1: People (Ownership Transfer)

  • Identify safe-to-fail tasks. Pick 1 task that's important but recoverable if mistakes happen. Transfer full ownership — not just the task, but the decision-making authority.
  • Define outcome, not process. Tell them what success looks like, not how to get there. Let them build problem-solving muscle.
  • Set guardrails, not a cage. "Max budget: X. Must consult: Y. Timeline: Z. Beyond that — your call."
  • Replace approval points with check-in points. "You don't need my sign-off to move. We sync 15 min every Wednesday — you update me, I give perspective."
  • Let them fail safely — then debrief. Don't rescue. Ask: "What did you learn? What would you do differently next time?"
  • Celebrate their judgment. Praise their decisions, not just their results. This builds confidence for the next ownership transfer.

Pillar 2: Process (Judgment Externalization)

  • Document your highest-leverage judgment. What's one thing you consistently do better than anyone else? Turn it into a playbook/SOP/checklist.
  • Focus on decision points, not just steps. Where do people usually get stuck and need you? That's where the process should guide them.
  • Build quality checkpoints mid-flow. Don't wait until the output is finished to catch problems. Insert review gates early.
  • Make it a living document. Schedule a review every quarter. What's outdated? What's missing? What's over-engineered?

Process Candidates:

Process Status
Onboarding Playbook (new hire productive in 2 weeks, not 2 months)
Decision Framework (who decides what, who's consulted, who's informed)
Quality Checklist (pre-release / pre-presentation gates)
Crisis Response Protocol (who does what, in what order, comms to whom)
1-on-1 Framework (coaching agenda, not status update)

Pillar 3: Productivity Tools (Automation & AI)

  • Audit repetitive work. What does your team do every week that's predictable and manual? List top 3.
  • Start with personal automation. Use AI (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) for drafting, summarizing, brainstorming. Build the habit.
  • Scale to team automation. Shared prompt library. Automated approval routing. Internal chatbot trained on company docs.
  • Build autonomous agents (endgame). AI agent that monitors tickets → categorizes urgency → drafts response → escalates to human only when confidence is low. Goal: the work happens without anyone touching it.

Mindset shift: Don't use AI to do your tasks faster. Use AI to build systems that do the task automatically — so humans can focus on what's unpredictable and creative.

🔄 Universal Loop Diagnostic

For: Everyone. Any level. Any time you feel stuck.
Purpose: Debug your career like an engineer debugs a system. Don't just restart — find the bug.

Direction → Reality → Gap → Action → Reflection → Adjustment

Quick Diagnostic Questions

Run through these when something feels off. The phase where you hesitate longest is likely where you're stuck.

Direction:

  • Do I know what I'm curious about or moving toward — even roughly?
  • If I had to pick a direction for the next 3 months, what would it be?

Reality:

  • Have I honestly listed what I already have (assets), not just what I'm missing?
  • What are my real constraints — time, money, energy, responsibilities?

Gap:

  • What's the #1 thing blocking me from my direction?
  • If I could only close ONE gap in the next 3 months, which would create the most momentum?

Action:

  • Is my next step specific, measurable, time-boxed, and realistic?
  • Am I testing a hypothesis or just "staying busy"?

Reflection:

  • What did I learn from my last action?
  • What new asset did I gain? (Skill? Proof? Network? Data?)

Adjustment:

  • Based on what I learned, what should I change for the next cycle?
  • Is my direction still right, or does it need a pivot?

🎓 Scalable Examples

Example A: Fresh Graduate (Builder stuck in job hunt)

Stuck signal: "Gw udah apply 50+ jobs, nggak ada panggilan."

Diagnostic result: Action is happening — but Gap & Reality are unexamined. CV is generic (Story Gap). No portfolio pieces (Proof Gap).

Fix: Stop applying. Spend 4 weeks building 2 case studies + rewriting CV. Then apply again — now with evidence.

Example B: Senior Manager (Multiplier stuck in overwhelm)

Diagnostic result: Direction (Purpose) is clear — but Gap is System Gap: no delegation framework, no documented processes, every decision still routes through them.

Fix: Pick 1 recurring decision. Document the decision framework. Transfer ownership to someone with a check-in cadence. Reclaim 3 hours/week. Repeat.

🧵 The Compound Loop (Why You Keep Going)

One loop = progress. Many loops = compounding assets.

Level What Compounds Each Loop
Explorer Data tentang diri sendiri → semakin akurat arah
Builder Proof of competence → portfolio, case studies, credibility
Shifter Credibility di bidang baru + network baru + narrative evidence
Multiplier Systems & people yang terus deliver value — bahkan tanpa lu

Endgame: After enough loops as a Multiplier, you reclaim time. You can then become an Explorer again — at a higher level, with massively compounded assets. The framework is a spiral, not a ladder.

⚡ Quick Start: Run Your First Loop (Today)

15 minutes. Right now.

  5. ✏️ Check-in date: Kapan lu akan reflect? (Set a calendar event. Now.)

The playbook doesn't demand perfection. It demands the first honest entry. Fill it. Act on it. Reflect. Adjust. Repeat.

That's the whole game.
